Today was on air in two parts the interview about Megacities, that Andrea Vattovani released in exclusive fot the austrian radio Soundportal, in occasion of the Lecture hold the 7th of June at the Afro-Asian Institute in Graz.
Today was announced that Andrea Vattovani is going to hold a lecture in June the 7th about Megacities in Asia and the Shanghai Masterplan which he developed toghether with his student at the technical University of Graz.
“…I am really honoured to be invited to talk about a subject that to me is so important, my constant developing intrested for Asia and architecture and Megacities, and trough this lectue maybe make a sume up also for myself …”

Today Andrea Vattovani was in the Jury for the Red Bull Racing Can along the profi BMX rider Senad Grosic and the Architect Martin Lesjak from Innocad. The event was organised at the Campus of the Technical University in Graz
The Jury was asked to judge the quality of the design, which consisted in developing a brand new deisgn for the remote-controlled model cars only by using Red Bull Cans.
The car were also tested in several races showing off also the practical skills of their designs. The winner team gets the chance to take part in the World Final in Milton Keynes for the last Red Bull Race!

Today took place the final presentation of “Designing3/Town planning” the course held by Arch. Andrea Vattovani at Graz University of Technology.
This year the course was a kind of experiment in which the students developed in the first part a master plan for Shanghai toghether with the Andrea Vattovani working as a office. Then was chosen a part of the masterplan and developed a competition on it.
The subject of the course and competition was to design an audiorium and car exposition center. The final projects had really a high level considering that the students are in the 5th semester of their studies and that they had less then 2 month to work on it.
In front of an exceptional Jury composed of: Dott. Arch. Andrea Vattovani, DI Arch. Martin Lesjak, Ing. Gerhard Fleissner and Prof. Grigor Doytchinov were awarded the three best projects with money prices in the following order:
1.Price: David Kriechmair
2.Price: Johannes Bauer
3.Price: Florian Hemmelmair
Arch. Martin Lesjak said about the presentation:
“…I think for the average achieved level of this group is really impressive and I also think that for the student must have been almost at the limit…”
Today in the Italian Newspaper “Il Piccolo” appearred an article about Andrea Vattovani in series of article about people from Trieste who started a career in a foreign country.
Tracing Andrea Vattovani’s career, from his escape from Trieste to the practice that he founded, the piece looks at his architecture, why it matters and how difficult it is to do well. The article explain his first steps so far and talk about the projects his practice is actually working on.
The article was written by Micol Brusaferro well known journalist and frontman in the north of Italy, who write an article about people from Trieste becoming personalities.
Today was opened and showed with a small ceremony the new sample flat in Geidorf.Center.
Andrea Vattovani Archictecture was assigned to develope a furniture concept for a standard flat to show how the high standard of the construction let achieve even a design standard which normally should be planned from the beginning.
The furniture is mostly from well known italian producer and is a mixture of classical and modern.

The projects had really a high level considering that the students are in the 5th semester of their studies. Every single student achieved the goal of a functional and realistic but still innovativ project.
In front of an exceptional Jury composed of: Dott. Arch. Andrea Vattovani, DI Arch. Danijela Gojic, Ing. Gerhard Fleissner and Prof. Grigor Doytchinov were awarded the three best projects with moneys prices in the following order:

3.Price: Katharina Rabanser
Ing. Gerhard Fleissner said about the presentation:
“…I saw today really many good projects, and I really can imagine many of them could be really interesting to be build, maybe under some adaptation. I think for the average achieved level of this group we have also to thank the engagement of Arch. Andrea Vattovani…”
